Nadat Texas Instruments de TTL-reeks 74xxx op de markt bracht, poogden Europese IC-fabrikanten onder
aanvoering van Philips en Siemens de niets zeggende codering van deze reeks te vervangen door een intelligente codering: de Pro-Electron code. Uit deze code kon men de functie van het IC afleiden. Helaas konden de Europeanen niet op tegen de Amerikanen: de Pro-Electron code is vergeten, de onduidelijheid van de 74xxxx code heeft gezegevierd! In oeroude apparatuur kunt u af en toe nog IC's aantreffen met een codering die begint met FLH, FLJ, FLQ, FLY, FJH, FJJ, etc. Dergelijke IC's kunt u zonder problemen vervangen door schakelingen uit de standaard 7400 reeks. |
